The theoretical system of traditional Chinese medical science was established in ancient China with the influence of ancient Chinese materialism and dialectics.In this theoretical system, a holistic “analogical” method was often used to explore the intransic mechanisms of objects through the analysis of their phenomena. Therefore, the unique theoretical system of traditional Chinese medical science is characterized by treating patients with a holistic concept and by diagnosing and treating patients with a dialectical point of view.
