To facilitate foreign guests to seek medical advice and treatment in Beijing, and clear the language barriers in medicare services during the Games, Beijing Municipal Health Bureau and Beijing Tourism Administration jointly invited experts to compile the eight bilingual editions of Beijing First Aid Guide, namely Chinese and English, Japanese, French, German, Russian, Korean, Spanish and Arabic. Boasting itself as a Chinese-foreign bilingual ¡°identification¡± first aid manual, the Guide includes emergency aid phone number, commonly used terms in emergency first-aid, directory of some of the designated hospitals for the Games, roadmap of hospitals along subway lines, etc.
