The Environmental Health Office of Beijing Center for Diseases Prevention and Control has recently organized an “Expert Panel Discussion on Water Quality Acceptance Test for Drinking Water at the Olympic Village” in the Xiaotangshan Hospital, fixing a complete set of satisfactory and feasible water quality acceptance tests for drinking water supply at the Olympic Village, which is of great significance to the Olympic drinking water security. Various issues including sampling water locations and quantity for the quality tests, and selection of water quality testing indicators etc., are discussed, with specific considerations paid to the particularity, architecture, water supply, methods of water supply, and water treatment techniques at the Olympic Village.
