On March 31£¬it is learned at the launch ceremony of the Olympic training programme for leading emergency-call/first-aid doctors, which is co-organized by France and China, that in the coming Olympic Games about 3200 medical volunteers are to serve in the competition, training, and non-competition venues in Beijing; relevant trainings and preparations will be completed by the end of April for the said volunteers who will then be ready for the Games.
Report goes that the competition, training, and non-competition venues in Beijing, in the Games-time, will take in 3200-odd medical volunteers. Most of the medical volunteers in the Olympic venues and medical stations are doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, ambulance personnel, and voluntary students from medical colleges etc.
The said emergency-call/first-aid doctor training programme will cover three stages, that is, pre-hospital first-aid training, hospital first-aid training, and lectures and rehearsals on Disaster Medicine, with such training subjects as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Intensive Care, traumata, combined injuries, and Disaster Medicine, etc.
